American automaker founded in 1903 by Henry Ford. Home of the F-Series - the best-selling vehicle in the United States for over four decades - as well as the Mustang, Bronco, and Explorer. Its electric car is the Mustang Mach-E; the F-150 Lightning was discontinued after the 2025 model year.
Ford's body-on-frame off-roader, sold in two-door and four-door bodies with doors and roof panels that come off. A 300 hp 2.3-litre turbo four is standard and a 330 hp 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6 sits above it; four-wheel drive is standard on every trim. The China-market Ford Explorer is a gasoline SUV built by the Changan Ford joint venture, unrelated to the US or European Explorer. The updated version starts from ¥309,800 (about $45,650), topping out at ¥399,800 (about $58,890) for the off-road Kunlun Pinnacle trim.
The Ford Explorer ST is the performance version of Ford's three-row SUV for North America, using a twin-turbo 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 rated at 400 hp and 563 Nm with a 10-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive. It starts at $55,455 for the 2027 model year, which also introduces the $1,695 Sinister appearance package. It is a separate car from the European Explorer EV and the Chinese-market Explorer.
The Explorer Van EV is a commercial conversion of Ford's European electric Explorer SUV, built by Ford Pro's Dagenham Conversion Centre with a permanent bulkhead replacing the rear seats. It offers up to 373 miles of WLTP range, 1,460 litres of load space, and a 650 kg payload.
The Ford F-150 is the light-duty F-Series, the range that makes the nameplate America's best-selling vehicle. The 2026 line-up runs from a 325 hp 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 at $40,085 to the 720 hp supercharged Raptor R at $113,725, with a 430 hp PowerBoost hybrid in between. Every price includes Ford's $2,795 destination charge.

The Ford Kuga is a compact SUV built at Ford's Valencia, Spain plant, sold with a mild-hybrid EcoBoost petrol engine, a full hybrid in FWD or AWD, or a plug-in hybrid with around 69 km of electric range. It measures 4,645 mm long on a 2,711 mm wheelbase.
The seventh-generation Ford Mustang is a rear-drive coupe built at Flat Rock, Michigan, and the last American muscle car still sold with a naturally aspirated V8 and a manual gearbox. The range runs from a 315 hp 2.3-litre EcoBoost four to the 795 hp supercharged Dark Horse SC, which starts at $103,490 before destination and the gas-guzzler tax.
The soft-top version of the seventh-generation Ford Mustang, built alongside the coupe at Flat Rock, Michigan. It is sold with the 315 hp 2.3-litre EcoBoost and the 480 hp 5.0-litre V8, and from spring 2027 with the 795 hp supercharged Dark Horse SC, which gets a magnesium tower brace and MagneRide dampers at all four corners. Ford has not announced Dark Horse SC convertible pricing.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E is an electric five-seat crossover built in Mexico and sold worldwide. The range runs from a 264 hp rear-drive Select to the 480 hp GT and the off-road-flavoured Rally, with up to 515 km (320 miles) of EPA range. US prices start from $37,795.
The Ford Puma is a subcompact crossover built on the Fiesta platform, sold with 1.0-litre EcoBoost mild-hybrid petrol engines from 125PS to 170PS. It is separate from the battery-electric Puma Gen-E. Prices start from around €27,490.
The Ford Puma Gen-E is the battery-electric version of the Puma subcompact crossover, with a 43 kWh battery, 168 hp front motor, and up to 375 km of WLTP range. Prices start from around €33,990.

Jim Farley calls the troubled 2023 F-Series Super Duty launch a catalyst for change at Ford. About two thirds of the leaders across manufacturing, supply chain and engineering have been replaced since, and the company now says it will slow a line or delay a launch rather than ship a known defect and fix it by recall.
One owner's filing has put the 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid in front of federal safety regulators. NHTSA has opened defect petition DP26007 over a reported intermittent loss of anti-lock and regenerative braking, which the petitioner says survived four repair attempts and led to a crash. No defect has been found, no recall has been issued, and the agency is still deciding whether to investigate at all.
