The Ford Mustang Mach-E is a five-seat electric crossover, launched in 2020 as the first model to carry the Mustang name onto a car with four doors and no engine. It measures 4,739 mm long, 1,881 mm wide and 1,621 mm tall on a 2,984 mm wheelbase, and it is built at Ford’s Cuautitlan Assembly plant in Mexico for every market it sells in, including the United States and Europe.
For the 2027 model year Ford dropped the standard-range battery. Select and Premium models use an 88 kWh pack and the GT and Rally a 91 kWh one, and the Select, Premium, GT and Rally are joined by a Trail package for the all-wheel-drive Select. The rear-drive Select and Premium produce 264 and 272 hp, and the all-wheel-drive Select and Premium run from 325 to 370 hp. The longest-range configuration is the rear-drive Select or Premium, rated at up to 515 km (320 miles) on the EPA cycle, with the all-wheel-drive versions at 483 km (300 miles). At the top of the range, the GT and the Rally share a 480 hp dual-motor setup, rated at 451 km (280 miles) and 410 km (255 miles), with the Rally giving up some range in exchange for extra ride height, all-terrain tyres, underbody protection and a drive mode tuned for gravel.
The Trail package costs $2,295 on the Select eAWD. It adds retuned struts and springs, a steering rack shaped like the Rally’s, 19-inch wheels and a body 10 mm higher at the front and 15 mm higher at the rear, with a 400 W Pro Power Onboard outlet as standard. Ford has not published its EPA range yet, and it is due on sale in the first quarter of 2027.
Inside, the Mach-E is organised around a portrait touchscreen running Ford’s SYNC software, with a separate digital instrument display ahead of the driver. Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free driver assistance is available and works on mapped highways. Charging is handled through a CCS port in North America, with an adapter supplied for the Tesla Supercharger network, and the 91 kWh battery of the GT and Rally covers 10 to 80% in roughly 36 minutes on a suitably fast DC charger.
United States prices for the 2027 model year start at $39,995 for the Select and rise through $42,995 for the Premium to $50,995 for the GT and $55,290 for the Rally. All are MSRP before Ford’s $2,045 destination fee. Because every car is imported from Mexico, the Mach-E has been unusually exposed to US trade policy: tariff costs applied to imported vehicles fed into its sticker price, and it is the model named in a 2026 proposed class action arguing that Ford should pass its tariff refunds back to buyers.
