Overview

The Nissan Versa is the brand’s entry-level B-segment sedan for Mexico and Latin America, where it consistently ranks among the region’s best-selling vehicles overall. It rides on Nissan’s budget “V platform,” with a MacPherson strut front suspension and a semi-independent rear torsion beam.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated 1.6-litre HR16DE inline-4 producing 120 hp, paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic. Nissan updated the Versa for 2026 without touching this drivetrain - the changes are entirely cosmetic and equipment-related.

Inside, the refreshed Versa gains a touchscreen of up to 12.3 inches with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging and a Bose audio system on higher trims. The Safety Shield 360 package brings automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning and lane-keeping assistance as standard across the range.

Outside, the car adopts Nissan’s V-Motion grille design, narrower headlights and a wider color palette, while keeping the classic three-box sedan silhouette. Prices in Mexico run from $21,600 to $27,150.
