Nissan announced the Navara Pro for the Middle East — on sale before end of 2026. It’s the same vehicle as the Chinese-market Frontier Pro, built by the Zhengzhou Nissan JV (Nissan + Dongfeng). The global naming does not map cleanly to the hardware.
| Market | Name | Platform | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Australia/NZ | Navara | Mitsubishi L200/Triton | Announced February 2026 |
| China | Frontier Pro | Zhengzhou Nissan (Nissan + Dongfeng) | Body-on-frame, local JV |
| Middle East | Navara Pro | Same as Frontier Pro | Launches before end of 2026 |
| USA | Frontier | Separate Nissan platform | No relation to Frontier Pro despite the name |
| Latin America, SE Asia | Frontier Pro (export) | Same as Chinese Frontier Pro | Exported under the original name |
The Dongfeng Z9 is also built by the same Zhengzhou Nissan JV, sold under the Dongfeng brand — effectively a twin of the Frontier Pro.
Chinese Frontier Pro / Navara Pro specs
Two engines: 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol (258 hp) or 2.3-litre turbocharged diesel (190 hp), both paired with an 8-speed automatic. A PHEV version is also offered in China: 1.5T petrol + electric motor, 33 kWh battery, 435 hp combined and 800 Nm. Whether the PHEV reaches the Middle East under the Navara Pro name hasn’t been confirmed.
