The ID. UNYX 06 is an electric SUV built and sold only in China, updated in May 2026 and launched the same day as the ID. UNYX 07 sedan. Both come out of Volkswagen Anhui in Hefei.
Powertrain. The updated car has a single 170 kW (228 hp) rear motor and a quoted 528 km of CLTC range. Volkswagen has not published the capacity of the base battery that produces it; the October 2026 update added a 77.5 kWh option with up to 630 km of CLTC range. The original 2025 car offered a 53.6 kWh pack for 426 km and a 77 kWh pack for 621 km, and how those map onto the revised range has not been set out.
What the update covers. The May update covered interior design, connected features and range. The 17 October update added a LiDAR-based driver assistance system on a Horizon Robotics Journey 6H chip, which supports city navigation on autopilot, plus the 77.5 kWh battery option. The car now comes in three variants; Volkswagen has not published the full trim table.
Size and price. 4,663 mm long, 1,860 mm wide, 1,617 mm tall. List prices run from 129,900 to 169,900 yuan (~$19,300–25,200), 20,000 yuan (~$3,000) below the May launch prices. The Lite variant has a Double 11 promotional price of 119,900 yuan (~$17,800), which is a promotion, not the list price.
