The Li Auto i6 is a battery-electric mid-size SUV launched in China in September 2025. It is the brand’s second pure-electric model, following the larger i8, and marks Li Auto’s deeper push into the BEV market after building its reputation on range-extender SUVs. The i6 measures 4,950 mm long on a 3,000 mm wheelbase.
The 2026 model year went on sale in China on 28 October 2026. It replaces the CATL pack of the first-generation car with a 96 kWh battery that Li Auto designs and assembles itself, using cells from CALB and Sunwoda, and designs for 5C charging. The rear-drive version is rated at 780 km of CLTC range and the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version at 710 km. In a livestreamed test around Lake Taihu, the rear-drive car covered 811.4 km, as reported in our news coverage.
The cabin follows Li Auto’s family-focused approach, with a 29-inch panoramic front screen, an optional 21-inch rear screen and the brand’s software suite. The i6 is positioned as a practical long-range family SUV rather than a performance model.
Pricing starts from 249,800 yuan (~$37,100), with a limited-time introductory price of 239,800 yuan (~$35,600) at launch. In Europe the car is due as the Li 6, with sales in Norway and the Netherlands from spring 2027, according to Autocar.
