The Gamma is Lancia’s flagship and the second model of its revival after the Ypsilon, and it takes its name from the Gamma that Lancia introduced in 1976. It is a fastback crossover 4,670 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and 1,660 mm tall on a 2,790 mm wheelbase, built on Stellantis’s STLA Medium platform at the Melfi plant in Italy. Lancia quotes a drag coefficient of 0.25 and a 560-litre boot.
Powertrains and range
The petrol-electric Gamma pairs a 1.2-litre engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and makes 145 PS. Lancia Italia quotes 0-100 km/h in 10.4 seconds, fuel consumption of 5.6-5.3 litres per 100 km and a range of up to 1,040 km, all WLTP combined.
The electric Gamma comes with two batteries. The 73.7 kWh car makes 230 PS and is rated at 543 km (LS) or 541 km (LX) on the WLTP cycle. The Long Range car has a 97.2 kWh battery, makes 245 PS and is rated at 741 km (LS) or 737 km (LX). Both are front-wheel drive. Lancia says a 20-80% DC charge takes 27 minutes on the 97.2 kWh battery and 31 minutes on the 73.7 kWh one, at a charger of 160 kW or more. The 160 kW peak is for DC, and the LS trim charges on AC at up to 7 kW, with 11 kW on the LX.
The HF Integrale sits at the top: a motor on each axle, all-wheel drive, 375 hp and up to 675 km of range, according to Lancia’s English-language releases. Lancia Italia’s electric page gives the all-wheel-drive car 350 CV instead, so the output of that version is quoted differently by the maker’s own channels.
Trims and prices
Italian list prices are in euros and the car is on order across Lancia’s European markets. LS is the entry trim, LX adds adaptive Pixel LED headlights, a ventilated wireless charger and a heat pump on the electric cars, and HF Line and HF add a 14-speaker Focal sound system, blind-spot assist, power-adjustable front seats and HF badges on top of LX. Battery cars have a battery warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km.

Design and cabin
The face is dominated by Lancia’s illuminated Calice light signature, and the rear carries a T-shaped light bar and a split spoiler. The door handles retract and the front grille is active. Inside, Lancia describes an “Italian Home Feeling”, with a multifunction table in the centre console, Glow ambient lighting and a 16-inch central screen beside a 10-inch driver display. The S.A.L.A. system brings audio, climate control and lighting under one interface.
Production and timing
Production is at Melfi, which Stellantis allocated to the car in December 2024. Lancia showed the Gamma in Hybrid, BEV and HF Integrale form at the Paris motor show in October 2026, and Italian press expects cars in dealers by the end of the year.
