The Actyon is KG Mobility’s revival of a name SsangYong retired in 2010, brought back in July 2024 for a coupe-roofline SUV built on the same platform as the Torres. It is longer, wider and lower than the Torres, with a sloped rear roofline in place of the Torres’s boxier profile, and it is built alongside the rest of the lineup at KG Mobility’s Pyeongtaek plant, the company’s only factory.
The petrol Actyon runs the same 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder as the Torres, making 168 hp, paired with a 6-speed automatic and offered with front- or all-wheel drive. A hybrid version pairs the engine with a dedicated e-DHT hybrid transmission and a 1.83 kWh battery for a combined output KGM quotes at around 204 PS, front-wheel drive only; KGM says it can cover most urban driving in electric mode alone.
In South Korea both versions are now sold as a single trim: the petrol Actyon starts at 34,170,000 won and the hybrid at 36,950,000 won. Beyond Korea, KGM sells the Actyon in the UK and continental Europe, where reviewers have described it as a sleeker, coupe-bodied alternative to the Torres built on the same underpinnings.
