The 2026 Chevrolet Traverse is a three-row family SUV built on GM’s C1XX platform, measuring 204.5 inches (5,194 mm) long on a 121-inch (3,073 mm) wheelbase. It seats up to eight with the standard second-row bench, or seven with optional captain’s chairs, and offers 22.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, expanding to 97.6 cubic feet with both rear rows folded.
Every 2026 Traverse uses a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 328 hp and 442 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available for about $2,000 more across most trims and standard on the off-road-focused Z71. EPA-rated fuel economy holds at 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway for front-drive models, dropping to 19 and 24 mpg with all-wheel drive.
The lineup runs from LT through Z71 and High Country to the range-topping RS, which carries High Country’s equipment but swaps in blacked-out exterior trim and 22-inch wheels for a sportier look. Chevrolet carries over the same EPA fuel economy ratings as the outgoing model year.
Pricing starts at $40,800 for the front-wheel-drive LT, with all-wheel-drive LT at $42,800, Z71 AWD at $48,900, High Country AWD at $57,100, and RS AWD topping the range at $57,400.
