Jaguar's first model of its all-electric relaunch, a four-door grand tourer built on the new JEA platform. Three motors put out around 1,000 hp, with a claimed WLTP range past 700 km. Prototypes have been testing publicly since May 2026; the full reveal is due October 2026 in New York, with customer deliveries starting in 2027.

Jaguar Land Rover will cut around 4,000 jobs over two years, close to 10% of its global workforce, and lower the volume it needs to break even to 300,000 cars a year. Pre-tax profit before exceptional items fell from £2.5 billion to £14 million in FY2026.
JLR has named 15-year company veteran Mark Cameron to lead its US and Canada business from September 1, 2026, succeeding Joe Eberhardt after nearly 13 years in the role. Cameron takes over as JLR wants to double North America's business within five years and prepares to launch the Range Rover Electric and the reborn Jaguar Type 01.
Jaguar is a British luxury car marque, part of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and owned by Indian conglomerate Tata Motors since 2008. The name first appeared on the SS Jaguar in 1935; the company itself was renamed Jaguar Cars in 1945, tracing back to the Swallow Sidecar Company founded in 1922.
Jaguar stopped selling new cars in most markets through 2025 as it wound down its combustion and hybrid lineup - the F-Type, F-Pace, XE, and XF are all discontinued - ahead of a relaunch as an electric-only brand. The reinvention drew heavy attention in December 2024 when Jaguar unveiled the Type 00 concept with a radically different design language and no combustion cars planned for the future.
The first production result of that relaunch is the Type 01, a four-door electric grand tourer built at JLR’s Solihull plant, due to reach customers from 2027.
